If a lady registered with AOB, and says she is a doctor, I don't think AOB has the obligation to investigate. There are so many ladies here. How can they? Of course if they find out, they should take appropriate measures.I went to see such a lady. The lady did exist. I spent a week with her. I didn't suspect that she was not a doctor, but I should have. She e-mailed me after I got back to the US. She complained about her mother's nausea and vomitting. No matter what she fed her mother, she still vomitted. Why would a doctor feed anyone with nausea and vomitting without curing the nausea and vomitting first? It was then that I put it all together. I no longer communicate with the lady. She is no longer in the AOB website. I don't think AOB was involved in her deception, but I don't know. I never did tell or complain to AOB.

I was writing to a woman named Ekaterina 34102 I suspected a honey trap so I contacted the Ukraine medical board to confirm if they Had a doctor registered under her name. (She claims to be a doctor). Anyway they got back to me saying that no one of that name exists on their database. Anyway I contacted Army of brides to explain and they never got back to me on this, so I'm bringing it to a public forum to see what response this gets.Oh and another thing, I know how long it takes to train a doctor and she was 23 when I started writing to her which would have made her 17 when she started medical school. OK possible but I have very strong doubts as to whether she is even a real person. My take is that the makers of this website gather a load of pictures of women create a bunch of fake profiles and send a load of e-mails to as many suckers as possible. Heck you could even be talking to some guy in Nigeria for all you know. My advise stay away from this website.Bob

My experience on the internet has not been that great. I had a cyber love affair with a man for 2 years. Needless to say, it didn't work. What do I need to do to make this work? Where do I find a decent man? I'm American.

Hi ben, just sent you email. I hope you will respond. subject: ukraine women. So have you had luck meeting any normal women that are genuinely interested in you and not your money or your citizenship?

As someone who has been to Ukraine twice, I can testify that these ladies are as beautiful as they are in this and other sites. And yes, they outnumber the men by many. You see many women walking alone, by two, by three or many groups. I remember going up an escalator about one hundred yards long in Kiev. Going down were many beautiful women. I met eyes with about one out of seven to ten of them. Yes, there are scams. The only solution I can think of is the suggestion by AOB to get to know them well before going. One who shows interest in you by asking questions and those who respond to your questions are great prospects. The scams do not end there. If you expect to take a lady home with you, you should be willing to take over her financial responsibilities there and also help out those she leaves behind. While you are doing all of that, and the relationship sours, everything you put in is lost. AOB comment please?

My solution for avoiding false intentions and scams is quite simple. I exchange 1 or 2 letters with all the ladies I am interested in and have showed interest in me via query. One of these letters I will request their phone and I will also provide mine. I visit the city where most of my contacts are like odessa and simply date all the women over the period of 1 month or so to get to know them. After a month or so if I found a potential winner, I invite her to fly with me to Colombia or somewhere in Central America for some more time to get to know each other. No visa bullshit risk on your part. Long before this point if after the first 2 weeks of dating a woman she does not put out I assume she only wants to use me for my money, gifts etc and just dump her. If none of the girls on the list from one agency work out, i have made sure to contact local agencies the same day I get there as plan B. Don`t want a waited trip. So there you go. I`d say that`s a pretty fullproof method of not getting scammed and getting a decent woman. A note on the photos. As a photographer also, I can tell you these women are only a fraction as beautiful as in the photos. The soft lighting and heavy makeup makes most of these women look like knockouts. Try to look beyond this and you should spot some of the better ones. Ultimately you should request family photos on the ones you see potential, you know those amateur ones of 2 or more people posing together taking with a flash on the camera. If she loo

Does anyone know if they are still taxing goods in your luggage that is worth over $200 USD in Ukraine? It used to say that in the website, http://www.airport-borispol.kiev.ua/eng/carriage/, but it no longer says that. When I went in November 2007, I told the customs officer I had $200 USD in goods, although I had more than that. She gave me a face, but let me go. When I went again in February, all they did was x-ray my luggage.
